WordCamp Vancouver 2010

WordCamp Vancouver is slotted to happen June 12th 2010 and I know we’re looking forward to it. Last year’s WordCamp for the YVR folk was up at Whistler and was a successful event both in the conference and on the slopes. This year we’re expecting an even bigger turn out and some great speakers.

What is a WordCamp?

WordCamp is all about WordPress, the greatest (in our opinion) blogging platform to have graced the web. What WordCamps usually consist of is a day of WordPress based talks in a conference type setting. Some WordCamps can consist of multiple days with multiple tracks or sessions or some can be just a single day with multiple speakers talking about various aspects of WordPress.

WordCamps generally cater to all WordPress knowledge levels. Whether you are new to WordPress and using a WordPress.com hosted website or a more seasoned WordPress self-hosted user, there are always new things to learn. It is also an excellent way of networking with fellow WordPress users! Great for bringing new traffic to your website/blog!

I know we’re looking forward to this particular WordCamp as Vancouver will probably be still buzzing about the 2010 Winter Olympics that are currently being held here.
